Graf Ferdinand von Bubna and Littitz was an Austrian field marshal lieutenant, who distinguished himself in the wars against Napoleon and was made 1818 to chief commander of the Lombardy. During the Napoleonic wars he also liberated Geneva and was partly responsible for the creation of the Canton of Geneva.
