Constantia standing left, raising right hand and holding spear in left. RIC II-p. 1 (2nd ed.) 481. 10.39 g. 29.00 mm. Dark brown and green patina. VF. Part of the restitution series of the Flavians. This series used the original images of coins of the Julio-Claudian dynasty, only the legend on one side indicated that it is a later edition. This coins are believed to have been used to establish connections to the previous dynasty and strengthen the Flavian dynasty as the rightful heir to the throne after the troubles of a civil war.
