Sicily. Syracuse. AR Tetradrachm, type of Eukleidas, c. 415-406 BC. Obv. Charioteer driving galloping quadriga left, holding kentron in right hand, reins in both hands; Nike flying above and crowning charioteer; in exergue, EVMHNOV. Rev. Head of Arethusa left wearing double looped earring and a necklace with a small pendant, large band in hair from under which hair flows upward and backward in flame-like locks, surrounded by four dolphins swimming.
