ROMAN GLASS UNGUENTARIUM
Roman period, 1st-2nd century AD.
Elongated unguentarium with a cut everted lip, a short cylindrical neck with a slight constriction at the base, a pyriform body, a convex bottom.
Height: 88 mm. Lovely item with iridescent hues all over the surface. Minor missings on the lip, otherwise intact. For similar specimens from an archaeological context, see Meconcelli Notarianni 1979, p. 124, no. 160.
