EGNATHIA STYLE SKYPHOS
Apulian culture, c. 350-325 BC.
Beige depured clay, low gloss black paint. Ovoid body, low ring foot, horizontal rod handles. End of body unpainted, foot painted in red and black.
Decoration:
Side A: overpainting in white, red and yellow paint arranged in horizontal lines with garland motifs, festoons, meanders, leaves and dots.
Side B: white and yellow painted overpainting with garland motifs, horizontal dots and two vertical festoons. In the centre; rosette.
Height: 81 mm.; Diameter: 74 mm. Professionally restored, minor chip on the edge. Almost intact overpainting.
