GALLO-ROMAN GEOMETRIC FIBULA
Roman period, c. 2nd-3rd century AD.
Gallo-roman bronze fibula with enamel bone inlays and geometric engraved decorations.
Dimension: 57x37 mm. Intact and complete. The production and trade of similar fibulae is situated between 140 and 180/190, but they are still found at the beginning of the 3rd century. An equivalent fibula with an animal head was found in a funerary context in Maasmechelen and is dated to between 150 and 270.
