Diva Faustina I (died 141 AD). AR Denarius. Obv. DIVA AVG FAVSTINA. Draped bust right. Rev. PIETAS AVG. Pietas veiled, standing left, dropping incense on altar. RIC III (A. Pius) 394a; C. 234. 3.14 g. 17.50 mm. From masterly engraved dies, sharply struck, brilliant and lightly toned, with iridescent hues. Almost invisible cleaning marks and minor uncleaned green deposit on reverse, otherwise. good EF.
