Minturnae' Second Punic War issue. AE Sextans, after 211 BC. Obv. Head of Mercury right, wearing winged petasus; above, two pellets. Rev. Prow right; above, ROMA; below, two pellets. Cf. Cr. 56/6; RBW 214. 2.85 g. 16.00 mm. Nice delicate brown patina. Good VF. This new attribution to the Minturnae mint follows the new study published by Clive Stannard. For more informations see C.
