BYZANTINE LEAD PLAQUE
Byzantine period, c. 7th - 14th century AD.
Rectangular lead plaque from the Byzantine era, with the cross and inscription on one side in the upper part and with phytomorphic motifs in the lower part. On the other side there is a standing facing figure with halo, spear, armor and shield, perhaps Saint Michael the Archangel.
Dimensions: 39 x 29 mm. Very rare and interesting item. Better in hand. Damaged.
