Lot 799:
Multiple lot of four (4) Lead Scallop-shells. Various weights, from 27 to 60 g. These 'shells', which are quite rare, are most frequently reported in the Po Valley, especially in the area between the banks of the Po River in the province of Mantua (Viadana - Mantua) to the Lombard shore of Lake Garda (Salò - Brescia). Artefacts of this type have also been found in Tuscany, in the province of Grosseto. Most probably, the area where they were found was also the area of greatest diffusion and circulation of these interesting pieces.
