Libius Severus (Severus III, 461-465). AE 9 mm, Rome mint. Obv. Diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev. Monogram of Ricimer. RIC X 2715; LRBC 871. 1.02 g. 9.00 mm. R. Rare and in good condition for issue. About VF. Libius Severus was proclaimed emperor by Ricimer in Ravenna. Fairly nothing is known about his life, and the fact that Ricimer's monogram is on the reverse of his coins states that historically he was of minor importance. (Heritage, 66, 2020, 4528 note).
