Lot 971:
THREE SLINGSHOTS
Late Roman Republican period.
Lot of three (3) lead anepigraph slingshots. Lead slingshots are among the most common weapons of antiquity; they are found on every battlefield and are difficult to attribute to a specific period on the basis of measurements.
However, these anepigraphic slingshots find striking similarities with those found at Ulia/Montemayos, used during a battle fought by Julius Caesar's troops.
